NUTLEY, NJ - Nutley Mayor Brayden Aiello declared that 'every Tuesday should be Taco Tuesday.' The Yantacaw third grader served as 'Mayor of the Day' for one day and shared his plans and vision to make Nutley great again.

Aiello rose to office as a part of the Yantacaw PTO tricky tray this Spring and did not waste time sharing his plans for the community. "Get rid of the geese problem, both the geese and poop," he proclaimed, "but mostly the poop." Aiello joined the weekly Nutley Farmers' Market walk and talk and then spent time with his constituents at the 'Kids' Corner at the market.

During the walk, Aiello pointed out goose poop upon entering the park. As the walk continued through the Nutley Parks to the dam at KIngland Manor, Aiello focused most of this attention on his plan to make every Tuesday 'Taco Tuesday.'

The special menus would be mandatory in each of the Nutley Public schools including the High School and Middle School. "They need to be healthy." Ailleo's taco preference is meat, cheese, and lettuce, all served as a soft taco.

Monday's would declared 'Meatball Monday,' just gravy, no cheese according to the mayor. 'Weiner Wednesday would be on the menu mid-week. Aiello likes his hot dogs with ketchup, but people would be allowed to chose ketchup, mustard, mayo, or relish.

The week would end with Thai Thursday and 'French Fry-days.' Ailleo prefers 'regular straight fries' served with ketchup or mustard. He did share that he likes McDonald's fries.

As church bells rang out Sunday morning during our conversations he asked 'is it tea time?' "A bell should ring in every school at 1 o'clock so teachers can have a break and drink coffee" This led to a discussion about his concern for others.

"When I wake up on time, I walk to school" he shared, "walking keeps the trees healthy." Aiello also rides his bike almost every day.The nine year old also has a brown belt in karate.

As the conversation moved to arts and literature, Aiello said that 'Sponge Bob Out of Water' and 'Boss Baby' are two of his favorite movies. The little little kids should all read "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom."

Aiello's term in office lasted for just one day, Sunday June 18. He and his sister Mattie spent some time with incumbent Mayor Dr. Joseph Scarpelli who served in Nutley's highest office before Aiello's term, and then returned to office after Aiello vacated the position.
