NUTLEY, NJ - February may be the shortest month of the year, but the list of events and activities at the Nutley Public Library is long.

Monday, February 4 at 6:45 p.m. - Hooked-On-Books Reading Club. Hooked-On-Books Reading Club is for students entering the grades 4-6. Each month we will read and discuss a selected book, play a game and enjoy snacks. The monthly selection can be picked-up and borrowed at the Circulation Desk. Please read the book prior to attending the meeting.

Monday, February 4 at 7:00 p.m. – DISH!  The Monday Night Cookbook Club.  Each month patrons will choose, prepare at home, and share a DISH!  From a selected cookbook.  We will then gather to sample each others recipes, discuss our cooking techniques, and share stores and culture.

Tuesday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m. – Tuesday Afternoon Book Club.  This group meets at the Nutley Parkside Apartments and warmly welcome new members.  This month’s book is Evensong by Gail Godwin.

Tuesday, February 5, 12, 26 at 9:30 a.m. – Babygarten classes are for children ages birth through 23 months. Babies and their caregivers enjoy great books, nursery rhymes, playtime, and meet other babies from the Nutley area. Registration is required. Must Be Nutley Resident.

Tuesday, February 5, 12, 19, 26 at 1:00 p.m. – Play Bridge and Mahjong. No registration required.

Wednesday, February 6, 13, 27 at 10:30 a.m. - Preschool Story Time. Must be a Nutley Resident. Preschool Story Time is for children ages 3-5. Preschool age children and their caregivers enjoy old and new picture books, create arts and crafts, and meet other children from the Nutley area. Registration is required.

Wednesday, February 6, 13, 20, 27 at 1:00 p.m. – Wednesday Afternoon Knitters. Come share your love of knitting and crocheting with both beginning and experienced knitters. Meet fellow knitters, brush-up on your skills, and learn some new techniques. Please bring your own supplies. This group meets every Wednesday.

Saturday, February 9 at 11:00 a.m. – Game On!  Calling all Gamers.  Join us for some Video Gaming.  All Skill Levels Welcomed.  For All Ages.

Thursday, February 14 at 3:00 p.m. – Teen Cookie Decorating Event.  Grades 7-12.  Come decorate cookies and enjoy Valentine’s Day with friends.  While Supplies Last.  No Registration Required.

Friday, February 8, 15 at 10:00 a.m. – Two-Year-Old Story Time. Must Be Nutley Resident. Two-year-old classes are for children 2 years of age. Two-year-old children and their caregivers enjoy old and new picture books, create arts and crafts, and meet other children from the Nutley area. Registration is required.

Saturday February 16 at 10:30 a.m. – STEAM Story Time.  Explore the worlds of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math with stories and fun activities.  No registration required.  For All Ages.

Saturday, February 23 at 3:00 p.m. – LEGO Play Time. For ages 5-12. No registration required.

February 19, 20 at 2:00 p.m. and February 21 at 7:00 p.m. – Winter Break Movie Marathon. Join us in the children’s room for a movie each day during winter break. No registration required.

Thursday, February 21 at 6:30 p.m. – Jonathan Barrett, Certified Financial Planner from AXA Advisors, will host a program focusing on the recent tax code changes to help you in preparing to file your 2018 income taxes and plan for the future.  Please register at the Library.

Monday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. – Family Fun Night – Listen to stories, and enjoy games and special activities for the whole family.  No Registration Required.  For All Ages.
