Wednesday, November 7, 14, 21, 28 at 1:00 p.m. – Wednesday Afternoon Knitters. Come share your love of knitting and crocheting with both beginning and experienced knitters. Meet fellow knitters, brush-up on your skills, and learn some new techniques. Please bring your own supplies. This group meets every Wednesday.

Wednesday, November 7 @ 10:30 a.m. and Tuesday November 13 @7:00 p.m. – Special Thanksgiving Story Times - Join Eileen Painter, Executive Director of the Nutley Family Services Bureau to hear stories of thankfulness and make a fall craft to take home!  For All Ages.  Registration is not required.  We will also be collecting nonperishable food items for the food pantry throughout the entire month of November.

Thursday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m. – Nutley Trolley History with John Demmer and David Wilson.  A narrated tour of pictures will take you on a ride from the period 1896 through the final days of streetcars in 1937.  Come and learn about the original light rail and mass transit in Nutley.

Tuesday, November 13 at 2:00 p.m. – Tuesday Afternoon Book Club - Marriage, A History:  From obedience to intimacy, or how love conquered Marriage by Stephanie Coontz.  Copies of this book and its discussion guide are available at the library.  This program will be held at the Nutley Parkside Apartments.

Thursday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. – Page to Screen Club.  Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Shawshank Redemption a few months early with our new book club that compares a book to the movie that it is based on.  Copies of both the book and movie will be available to borrow at the front desk in early October. 

Saturday, November 17 10:00 a.m. at Barnes & Noble, Clifton Commons.  Enjoy an assortment of programs all day long as you get a head start on your holiday shopping and support your library in the process!  The Friends of the Nutley Public Library will receive a percentage of all proceeds of purchases on this day!  Saturday November 17 at 2:00 p.m. Saturday Afternoon Book Club presents Preparing to write a book Workshop. Pushing through to the end:  seeing it through to the end of your writing project even when you want to quit. Join us for a series of four workshops led by author Hillary DePiano.

Tuesday, November 20 at 7:00 p.m. – Join us as we discuss graphic novels and sample pastries from local bakeries throughout town.  This month Graphic Novel is “Anya’s Ghost” by Vera Brosgol.  Copies of each book are available at the library one month prior to each meeting. 

Wednesday, November 21 at 3:00 – 4:45 pm. – “Game On.”  Join us for some video gaming fun!  All skill levels welcome.  Grades 7-12.

Monday, November 26 at 3:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. – Manga & Anime Club.  Grades 7-12.  No registration required.
