Alzheimer's 101

This program provides a comprehensive overview for anyone who wants to learn about memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease, and other forms of dementia. Information about risk factors and warning signs, steps to obtaining a diagnosis, and treatment options are discussed. Planning for the future, coping with behavioral and other changes, and accessing community resources are also reviewed.

Programs are free and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. For more information, or to register, people can call 888-280-6055 or visit for the most current education program schedule.

Since 1985, Alzheimer’s New Jersey has provided care and support for New Jersey families and has helped advance research for a cure. As Alzheimer’s New Jersey (formerly known as Alzheimer’s Association, Greater New Jersey Chapter), their commitment to local programs and services is stronger than ever. Their mission is to respond to the needs of people in New Jersey who are affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, by providing programs and community partnerships that increase awareness and access to services.

Former Manasquan HS Band Director Pleads Guilty to Stealing $2,300 from Band Account

FREEHOLD, NJ — Alan Abraham of Belmar, former director of the Manasquan High School band, has admitted to stealing some $2,300 in band funds for his personal use between 2015 to 2016, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office.
