Willie Cole in Conversation: Art and Life Inspired by Newark

 A survey of the life and work of noted sculptor and assemblage artist Willie Cole. We will discuss his inspirations and creative processes for recycling discarded materials such as women's heels, bottles and irons to create thought-provoking sculptures, prints and installations that have been displayed at the Montclair Art Museum, Newark Museum of Art and major galleries and museums around the nation and overseas. Artist, educator and administrator Nette Forne' Thomas will moderate the discussion.
