NUTLEY, NJ – TAPinto Nutley, the only independent news operation dedicated solely to covering Nutley, set a single-month record for readership in March.
The 87% increase in readership is directly attributed to the news site’s COVID-19 coverage, as we continue to coordinate daily news reporting of how the virus is affecting the Nutley community.
In February, TAPinto Nutley had 47,828 individual users who visited the site. The number of readers spiked to 79,429 in March, making the news site one of the most read among the entire TAPinto news network of more than 80 hyperlocal sites in three states.
Moreover, TAPinto Nutley also shattered its own record for page views. In February, the news site had 100,403 page views. In March, that number jumped to 187,885, a 87% increase.
“This startling increase in readership demonstrates that Nutley is relying on TAPinto as a main source of accurate information about coronavirus and the upcoming Board of Commissioners election,” said John Lee, publisher of TAPinto Nutley. “I salute Deborah, Kevin, Maggie, and all of our contributors for their ongoing commitment to reporting the news that matters to the Nutley community each day. We appreciate the trust that the township leaders and community have bestowed upon our reporters. It is a responsibility we take very seriously.”
