BLOOMFIELD, NJ-- Brookdale Pet Center has put their money where their mouth is, or in this case, local animals' mouths.  Back on May 5th we reported that the Broad Street pet shop was raising money to provide 1,000 pounds of pet food to the Human Needs Food Pantry in Montclair, NJ.  https://www.tapinto.net/articles/bloomfield-pet-store-needs-your-help-in-keeping-local-animals-fed  This week, they held true to their word by making their first delivery.

A GoFundMe page was created to allow supporters of the plan to make donations.  The campaign was looking to raise $1000.00 and easily surpassed that number to allow for Brookdale Pet Center to deliver 1000 lbs of pet food yesterday morning.

Knowing that it's not just humans who are suffering during this time, the neighborhood pet store decided that they could leverage their customer base in order to provide pet food for those who are on hard times and may not have the means of doing so.
