NUTLEY, NJ - With two ballot questions about Nutley Public Schools, and six candidates vying for three Board of Education seats, residents will be able to learn more about the issues during two town hall meetings and two candidate forums being held before the election.
On Wednesday October 17, Nutley Public Schools will host the first of two town hall meetings to discuss the upcoming school construction referendum. Information about constructions plans at four of Nutley's schools will be shared at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the John H.Walker Middle School auditorium.
On Thursday, October 18, the first of two candidate forums will be held. All six Board of Education candidates have been invited to attend the 'TAPinto Nutley' BOE Candidate Forum. The forum will take place at Vincent Methodist Church, on Vincent Place, starting at 7 p.m.
Then, on November 1, the Nutley Chapter of the League of Women Voters will hold their candidate forum at the Nutley Museum. That event is scheduled to take place at 7:30 p.m. All six Board of Education candidates have been invited.
On Saturday November 3, from 10 a.m. to noon, Nutley Public Schools will hold their second town hall meeting at the Nutley Public Library.
