NUTLEY, NJ - Three "new" members of the Nutley Board of Education were sworn in during the Jan. 7, 2020 open public Reorganization Meeting. The three sworn in were Frank DeMaio, Charles W. Kucinski and Daniel A. Carnicella. All three had served on the board previously but had to be sworn in for their new three-year terms.
The oath for members of Board of Education includes swearing to uphold both the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of New Jersey.
On Nov. 5, 2019 the Annual School Board Election for the Nutley School District was held. Voting was conducted for the election of three members to the Board of Education each for a three-year term. The results of the election were as follows:

Daniel A. Carnicella 2,397
Dominick Ritacco 1,537
Ralph Chimento 1,474
Vito D’Alessio 1,385
Each received formal documents indicating that they were members of the BOE.
