AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE NUTLEY PUBLIC LIBRARY
To all supporters of the Nutley Public Library:
The Friends of the Nutley Public Library hope that you and your family are staying safe and well during this pandemic. It has changed everyone’s lives, but we are proud that the Nutley Library Staff has bounced back and is ready, willing and able to serve the townspeople of Nutley. The library has regular hours when patrons can do contact-free pick up of books they have ordered and other times when the library is open for patrons to enter and browse. Also, there are many virtual programs available for children, teens and adults. Check the library website for details and be sure you are included on the Friends e-mail list.
The Friends of the Library have been meeting virtually, our big topic being fundraising. We were unable to conduct our April and October Book Sales this year. We missed doing these activities, as we missed seeing all of you. These have been our two biggest yearly fund raisers. We did manage to fund all the summer reading programs, and are sponsoring other virtual programs as well.
But, we need YOUR help. Please consider making a donation to the Friends. All of the money we collect goes directly to enhance the library’s offerings, particularly for children. You can make your check to the Friends of the Nutley Public Library and mail to Nutley Public Library, 93 Booth Drive, Nutley, NJ 07110, attention Friends of the Library or deliver it to the library.
If you prefer, you can visit the Friends website page at nutleypubliclibrary.org/friendsofthelibrary-donate/ and contribute through PayPal or by credit card.
While public funding covers the library’s basic operating expenses, the Friends funding allows the library to offer some really special activities enjoyed by many. Your tax deductible donation will help us continue to sponsor all the wonderful programs and events we in Nutley have come to expect. Your generosity will be appreciated and thank you in advance for your consideration.
