NUTLEY, NJ - According to Prism Capital Partner Eugene Diaz, the former Roche Campus in Nutley NJ will be called ‘On Three’

In a phone interview with Diaz, he told TAPinto Nutley that ‘you will be able to live, work, learn and play ‘On Three’, the 116-acre property in Nutley and Clifton NJ. It is anticipated that approximately 2,500 people will be associated with the new Seton Hall-Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine that is slated to open its doors in the fall of 2018.

The company is approving content and will be launching the redevelopment website ‘before the end of April’. Diaz also said the company will be “announcing new commercial leasing tenants” soon and submissions were pending with the Township of Nutley and City of Clifton.

During a presentation to the Nutley Board of Commissioners October 4, 2016, Diaz said: “We're going to be working with the towns over the next 12 to 18 months to look to design an overall master plan campus. It's going to take a lot of transparency with a lot of input.

"We hope to hold lots of public meetings and public forums with the assistance of the commissioners and their professional staffs… we look forward to learning what's important to the community, what we can do special on this campus that will help long-term…We think it’s important that everybody has an opportunity to voice their opinions, voice their concerns” Diaz added.

According to Diaz, citizens will be given the opportunity ‘later this summer’ when Prism plans to host a Town Hall meeting in the auditorium in Building 76 on the former Roche campus.

Note: In June 2012, Hoffman LaRoche pledged to find a buyer that would work to give the property a second chance. According to a Real Estate NJ article: It  found exactly that in the Bloomfield-based development firm Prism would not disclose the price, but market sources pegged the transaction at more than $100 million.
