NUTLEY, NJ - Nine residents have submitted their signed petition packets to the Township of Nutley Office of the Municipal Clerk, all with the goal of apearing on the ballot ahead of the May 12 Nutley Board of Commissioners election.
15 residents picket up petition packets: Daniel A. Carnicella, Lorenzo Marchese, Dr. Joseph P. Scarpelli, Carmen Allessio, Alphonse Petracco, David Wilson, Ken Reilly, Frank Contella, Pearl Wang, Tom Evans, Chris Cullari, Sam Fleitell, John Kelly, Mauro Tucci and Maria Hamlin.
According to the Township of Nutley Municipal Clerk, Mauro Tucci, Sam Fleitell, Dr. Joseph P. Scarpelli, Lorenzo Marchese, Tom Evans, Frank Contella, Maria Hamlin, Chris Cullari, and Danny Carnicella have already submitted their petitions. Pearl Wang handed in her packet and is reported to have stated she is no longer interested in running.
The staff in the Office of the Municipal Clerk must verify the signatures before any of these individuals can officially be declared candidates.
There is no official news about the other five individuals, yet. The deadline to submit signed petitions is March 9.
