NUTLEY, NJ -  The 2020 Nutley Board of Education election is probably going to be described as history repeating itself.

The Nutley Board of Education consists of nine elected trustees. Each serves for a three-year term resulting in an election every November. 2020 is no different. BOE trustees, Fred Scalera, Lisa Danchak-Martin, and Salvatore Ferraro are coming to the end of their three-year terms.

Ballots are currently being received by residents. Dancak-Martin and Ferraro are back on the ballot, however this year Scalera decided not to seek another term.

The third petition is filled by former Nutley Board of Education trustee Salvatore Balsamo. Balsamo's "day job" is that of a history teacher in another district. Hence, the "history repeating itself" phrase.

Ballot can be mailed back to the office of the Essex County Clerk, dropped off at the Clount Clerk Office in Newark, or dropped at the ballot box located in front of Township Hall.
