SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding a death on Hixon Place that might not be from natural causes, according to a member of the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.

"We can't really tell you anything official yet," said Essex County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas Fennelly at about 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. He would only confirm the discovery of an unidentified body and an investigation by law enforcement officers. "There is no cause for alarm in the neighborhood," stressed Fennelly.
Fennelly said the body had not yet been identified and that the family of the deceased had not been notified.
