South Orange, NJ - You’ve seen him in groundbreaking roles on television’s Good Times and Mary Tyler Moore Show, the historic miniseries Roots and the hit movie Coming to America; but you can see John Amos on stage in his one-man play Halley’s Comet.

East Orange High School graduate turned movie star, John Amos, will be in South Orange tomorrow, Saturday October 7, at 6 pm at South Orange Middle School 70 N. Ridgewood Road for a fundraiser on behalf of the Black Parents Workshop of South Orange and Maplewood.

Tickets for adults are $30 for the performance only and $40 for the performance and a post-show ‘Meet and Greet’ with Mr. Amos. There is a special $10 ticket for middle school students accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be purchased at the door tomorrow evening or online through the Black Parents Workshop website.
