NUTLEY, NJ - When a hankering for a great sandwich, the shop local spirit, and free parking come together, it can mean only one thing: lunch from Vilardo's Italian Deli.

Our most recent discovery is roast beef, fresh mozzarella, arugula, red onion and horseradish mayo. Did we mention the horseradish mayo?

Sometime in the future we're probably going to have a poll of everyone's favorite sandwich at Vilardo's. But for today, this is our favorite, we may have a new favorite tomorrow.

Since opening a few years ago, the community has embraced Vilardo's. Husband and wife owners of the deli have embraced the township back, and then some. Vilardo's, and the team that includes family members, have taken part in the Nutley Farmers Market, various street fairs, and all manner of charity events.

Their deli, located in the space that was the Spring Garden Deli years ago, has become a local destination. It features a host of Italian favorites, including house made mozzarella cheese, plus a retail area featuring Italian specialties. Jason used to work for an Oil and Vinegar distributor and maintained those connections to bring the best products to Nutley tables.

Vilardo's updates their specials on their Facebook page regularly, visit Vilardo's Italian Deli on Facebook.

Vilardo's is located at 250 High St. Nutley NJ 07110. There is plenty of parking in back, as well as an ADA friendly entrance.
