NUTLEY. NJ - The annual Nutley Thriving Survivors walk took place Friday evening to celebrate those who are victorious in overcoming breast cancer and remembering those who lost the battle.

The annual walk begins at John H. Walker Middle School, makes it way past the Nutley Thriving Survivors memorial garden, winds through Essex County Yantacaw Park, makes it way along Centre St., before returning to the middle school on Franklin Ave.

Before and after the event, participants were entertained by music and a short Zumba program. During the homestretch down Franklin Ave. Dan Cleary, owner of Philly Pretzel Factory, gave ribbon shaped pretzels to each walker.

The evening concluded at the middle school with a cannon firing pink confetti.
