NUTLEY, NJ - The Rotary Club of Nutley and New York Life presented a check for $7000 to Nutley Public Schools for grief counseling and bereavement programs in all schools at the Dec. 16 public meeting.
The New York Life Foundation, a part of New York Life insurance company, has granted over $40 million to bereavement programs since 2008. The NY Life Foundation granted $500 for each of Nutley's seven public schools. The local Rotary club matched the grant dollar for dollar.
On hand to accept the check were Nutley Board of Education trustee Erica Zarro and Nutley Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Julie Glazer.
