NUTLEY, NJ - The Redstone family established a fundraising campaign to honor family patriarch Charles "Cholly" Redstone. Cholly went home Thursday.

The Redstones, known to many in the community because of their participation in many community activities and events, decided that the best way to honor "Cholly" was with a fundraiser to benefit a cause near and dear to them: The Nutley Volunteer and Emergency Rescue Squad (NVERS).

The family set up a fundraising page on the social media platform Facebook: Johnny's fundraiser for Nutley Volunteer Emergency Rescue Squad

The squad, who are always there for the community when we are experiencing our worst days, need some extra support from the community right now. The squad's funding comes solely from fundraising, no township funds are received. The COVID-19 coronavirus has put an extra strain on their resources.

The Redstones ask that the community give what they can to honor "Cholly"

I was blessed to have met him last year, he led a pretty nifty life. Please, take a moment to meet him:
