NUTLEY, NJ - The owner of Personal Touch Florist is asking the community to locate the superhero whose assistance made a difference in the life of a local octogenarian.
According to owner John Monaco, his 86 year old uncle visited him at his Franklin Ave flower shop on Friday.
About an hour or so after the visit, Monaco heard from his uncle again. The uncle shared that a young man rung his doorbell and gave the uncle his wallet. Apparently, the uncle dropped his wallet somewhere on Chestnut St. between the florist and home.
Monaco also stated that his Aunt and Uncle want to personally thank and reward the person who went out of their way to return the wallet. He also wants to personally thank the young man, and his parents, for his honesty.
News of the returned wallet comes on the heels of a national news story about three Nutley High School students shouting racist comments on video. Read: Nutley Board of Commissioners Issue Formal Statement in Response to Racist Video Made by Nutley High School Students
Monaco concluded with "I bet this won't make the news." He did not disclose how much he was betting.
