NUTLEY, NJ - Election Day is Tuesday Nov. 5. Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. By law, voters in line at 8 p.m. must be afforded the opportunity to vote. 

On Election Day, Nutley Public Schools, the Nutley Free Public Library, and Municipal Offices are closed. The Municipal Court is closed.

The Office of the Municipal Clerk in Town Hall will be open on Election Day from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. for Election Business only.

There will be no recycling collection on Tuesday Nov. 5.

The Nutley Police Department is working on Election Day. Parking in front of fire hydrants and in handicapped spaces remain illegal on Election Day. Motorists must stop for pedestrians on crosswalks on Tuesday and every day in Nutley. 

That means that after voting, there are only three things to do in Nutley: 1. Go to the Oakley Kitchen and Cocktails (lunch service begins at 11 a.m.) 2. Meet with an advertising representative from TAPinto Nutley 3. Sneak library books that were due on Monday into the Book Deposit door on Tuesday to avoid fines.
