Nutley NJ - Nutley voters went to their mailboxes to cast their votes for the Township of Nutley Board of Commissioners. The five member board was elected entirely by Vote-By-Mail because of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. They will each serve a four-year term.

As of 9 p.m. May 12, the preliminary results are:

These are preliminary results and need to be verified. The final certified numbers are expected Friday, May 15, so its not over, yet.

Traditionally, the person with the most votes becomes the Mayor of the Township of Nutley. The other four top become commissioners. When the newly elected commissioners meet for the first time, they will decide who will take on the role of mayor.

After being sworn in on Tues. May 19, the newly reorganized Board of Commissioners will hold their first open public meeting at 7 p.m. the same day. 

Since 2016,  has been the only locally owned news organization serving the Township of Nutley, and is a member of the New Jersey Press Association. The Nutley Board of Commissioners first named the township's 'Official Electronic News Source'  in 2019.
