NUTLEY, NJ - The COVID-19 Coronavirus 9 a.m. Mar. 31 update prepared by the County of Essex reports a fifth death in the township and an additional 20 confirmed cases since the 5 p.m. report on Mar. 30. The total number of confirmed cases in the township is now 101.

In Belleville, the number of confirmed cases rose to 135, in Bloomfield 115, in Glen Ridge 12, in Montclair 89. 

Countywide, there are 1986 confirmed cases, and 36 deaths.

The report reflects information through 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 31. 

Later today, the Nutley Office of Emergency Management is expected to release their report regarding the number of confirmed cases and any additional deaths related to the global COVID-19 pandemic. TAPinto Nutley will publish the OEM report when received.
