NUTLEY, NJ - The Community Care Kitchen at Vincent Church is suspending operations until April 11. The Care Kitchen usually serves a free hot meal to community members on Saturdays at noon.
The Care Kitchen team told TAPinto Nutley, "As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to spread, we at the Community Care Kitchen at Vincent Church are taking steps to protect our guests and volunteer staff. We feel it is prudent to suspend service until April 11th in hopes the contagion is passed."
The Care Kitchen will be closed March 14, 21, 28 and April 4. It is expected to reopen on Saturday, April 11, if it is safe to do so.
As of today, Mar. 13, the Care Pantry scheduled for April 6 is still to take place.
