NUTLEY, NJ - The Township of Nutley is mourning the 29th COVID-19 death this morning. The news was announced in the Thursday morning pandemic update from the County of Essex.
The county also reports that the number of confirmed cases of coronavirus in the township rose to 414.
In the County of Essex, there have been 1196 COVID-19 deaths, statewide there have been 6770 deaths.
NJ Gov. Phil Murphy paused during his daily press briefing on Wednesday to remember those lost. Flags across the Garden State were ordered to be flown at half-staff to honor thos lost during the pandemic.
