NUTLEY, NJ - The Township of Nutley is mourning the 25th COVID-19 Coronavirus death this morning. The Friday morning report from the County of Essex reports two additional deaths. The current number of confirmed cases is 306. 

As data is reported from multiple sources, the COVID-19 update from the Nutley Office of Emergency Management may reflect slightly different number when that report is issued today.

Across Essex County the number of deaths continue to rise. Total deceased from the virus in nearby towns is: Belleville 34, Bloomfield  29, Glen Ridge 4, and Montclair 27.

Residents are reminded to continue to practice social distancing. 

Nutley Public Schools and all Parks and Recreation events are canceled through May 15. Information about the May 12 Nutley Board of Commissioners election will be shared later today.
