Testing will take place at the Nutley Recreation Building at 44 Park Avenue in Nutley on June 9th from 4:00pm to 6:30pm. Testing is open to all Essex County residents regardless of whether or not they are experiencing coronavirus systems. Testing is provided free of charge to Essex County residents. No insurance is required.
Residents taking the COVID-19 saliva test should not eat, drink, smoke or chew gum 30 minutes prior to arrival.
Residents who have taken the swab or saliva tests 14 days ago or more and have received negative test results are encouraged to get retested.
Commissioner of Public Safety Alphonse Petracco said, “At this point, testing is imperative for all residents so those with positive COVID results can be identified, quarantined and treated. This testing capability will allow our residents to be tested in our town free of charge with no insurance needed. We are thankful to the County Executive DiVincenzo for providing this important service to our township.
Residents with any questions can call Commissioner Petracco’s office at 973-284-4929.
