NUTLEY, NJ - The County of Essex reported the 31st COVID-19 death in the Township of Nutley in the Wednesday, May 6, 2020, coronavirus update.

Mayor Dr. Joseph P. Scarpelli called for a moment of silence at the May 5 Board of Commissioners (BOC) meeting for everyone lost to the pandemic. Since the first death was announced, it has been practice of the BOC to hold a moment of silence immediately after the flag salute. 

Nutley, and every community across the state, is honoring those lost to coronavirus by flying the flag at half staff.
