Joseph Dwyer approved as Coordinator of Social Studies K-12 for Nutley Public Schools

NUTLEY, NJ - Mr. Joseph Dwyer was approved as the Coordinator of Social Studies, K-12, for the Nutley Public Schools at the Board of Education meeting on May 21, 2018. He will begin his role on July 1, 2018.

Mr. Dwyer fills this role upon the retirement of Mr. Robert O’Dell, who has been with the district for 37 years. His retirement is effective June 30, 2018.

Nutley Junior Olympic on for Thursday May 31

As of now, the Junior Olympics are on, as scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, May 31. In the event that we need to cancel, due to weather, we will do so in the morning.

Students should come to school prepared for a regular day. In the event of a cancelation, should there be a need, the rain date is Thursday, June 7.

Evacuation Drills to Take Place at all Nutley Public Schools

This week and next week, we will be conducting the district’s routine evacuation drills for each school in the district.

This is required by the state each year, and the drills are done in cooperation with the police and fire departments.
