NUTLEY, NJ - An instagram account called 'nutley_for_columbus' told Nutley for Black Lives and Belleville Allies to 'Expect Problems' in published posts on the social media site.

Belleville Allies, a grassroots group of primarily young people, work as a voice for disenfranchised citizens. Belleville Allies posted an announcement on their instagram account announcing the raising of the LGBTQ Pride flag at Belleville Town Hall, in the same post they announced their participation in the solidarity march in Nutley hosted by Nutley for Black Lives.

'nutley_for_columbus' responded to the Belleville Allies post with a comment that read, ""keep that shit in your town don't bring that bs to Nutley. Expect problems."

In another post, 'nutley_for_columbus' wrote, "If anyone comes near that statue expect violence." The statue in question is the bust of Christopher Columbus on the lawn of Nutley Town Hall.

The 'nutley_for_columbus' instagram account appears to have been created on the morning of June 26.

Nutley for Black Lives, the group sponsoring the protests on the corners at Franklin Ave. and Centre St. for the past few weeks is sponsoring a march and roll out Friday, June 26 at 4 p.m. During the day on Thursday, June 25, a text message began to circulate calling for members of the civic group UNICO to meet at the Columbus statue to "form a circle  to prevent any damage." According to the texts, President Lorraine endorsed the message to gather on the lawn. Lorraine is Lorraine Kucinski.

Nutley for Black Lives received the text, and shared it with their members. 'nutley _for_columbus' reponded with, "f*ck blm.

UNICO is not believed to be affiliated with 'nutley_for_columbus.'

TAPinto Nutley reached out to Nutley for Black Lives. They confirmed that they have no plans to do anything to the Columbus bust.
