NUTLEY, NJ - Officers from the Nutley Police Department responded to a traffic situation that included a punch to the face and bloody nose.

According to a police report, a motorist stopped at the traffic light at the intersection of Washington Ave. and Park Ave. A silver/gray pickup truck, driven by a white male, pulled up behind the motorist and began to honk their horn.

Both vehicles proceeded across Washington and continued on Park Ave. The driver of the pickup truck then cut off the motorist and stopped. Both parties then exited their vehicles and a verbal dispute started.

As the motorist was returning to their vehicle, the driver of the pickup truck punched the motorist in the face. 

The motorist received minor injuries including swelling tot he right cheek and a bloody nose. 

Nutley police advised the motorist of their right to file a complaint with the Nutley Municipal Court if the suspect is discovered.
