Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo are advising residents that the township was subjected to a series of auto burglaries early this morning in the areas of Cedar, Raymond, Prospect and Ridge.  Police are also investigating yesterday morning thefts from Conover, Passaic, Harrison and Underhill.

A Ridge Road resident reported suspicious activity at 2:20 this morning when they observed several individuals on their property. The actors fled leaving behind over 200.00 in loose change and a laptop computer.

Chief Strumolo reminds residents that by securing their vehicles and removing valuables will help deter these criminals from committing crimes of opportunity.
