NUTLEY, NJ - The Nutley Police Department is asking residents who may have information about an attempted occupied burglary on Tuesday afternoon to report anything they may have seen to the department.

At around 4 p.m. on July 23, a Nutley resident heard a noise at their door and called the police immediately. The front door of their Hastings Ave home had been forced open.

According to Police Director Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo, officers from the department searched the area and spoke to neighbors.

Strumolo requests anyone who may have witnessed or has information relating to this incident contact Police at 973-284-4940. He also is reminding residents, to contact police if they see anything suspicious.
