Commissioner Alphonse Petracco and Chief Thomas Strumolo, Jr, are advising residents of the Clean Water Action Canvass that will be taking place in our Township.
In the near future, Clean Water Action will be conducting door to door political education and fundraising in our community. Its purpose is to provide info and obtain support through petitioning and fundraising. Their current campaign is “designed to protect waterways and drinking water supplies from toxins, and to ensure that citizens know what is in their water, reduce pesticides, and to encourage electing “green” candidates.”
It is important to note that they are a non-profit organization and are not required to obtain a Township permit however will have their representatives carrying a Clean Water Action Identification Card. Additionally, it should be noted that due to tax exemption status, any funds you may contribute are not tax deductible. Clean Water Action has a North Jersey Office located in Montclair, 973-744-3005
They will be in our community Monday thru Friday between the hours of 4pm – 9pm, with additional hours on Saturdays between 11:00am – 5pm. Anyone wishing to be enrolled in the Township DO NOT KNOCK list should complete an application at NPD.
