On Friday, July 10, officers of the Nutley Police Department  responded to a Centre St. location following a call about a man who had fallen and had abrasions on his face. Police determined that the party, Timmy Murphy, was extremely intoxicated. Police decided to have him transported to hospital for his own well-being.

While being escorted to a NVERS ambulance, Murphy became combative and was placed in handcuffs. Once in the ambulance, the uniformed EMT stated that they were kicked in the chest by Murphy.
