BLOOMFIELD, NJ - Bloomfield Director of Public Safety Samuel DeMaio stated that Monday morning's fatal shooting in Milbank Park appears to be an isolated incident and shows no signs of being a random act of violence.

When Bloomfield Police arrived at the scene, they discovered an unresponsive male on the sidewalk. The male was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:57 am, according to Chief Assistant Prosecutor Thomas S. Fennelly, of the Prosecutor’s Homicide Unit. The victim has been identified as  Aristedes Statiroudis, age 43, of Bloomfield.
