NEWARK, NJ - The new owners of three massive Gateway Center buildings plan to reinvent the skyway leading to Newark Penn Station, ROI-NJ and other media outlets have reported.

An announcement about Onyx Equities, Garrison Investment Group, Axonic Capital and Taconic Capital Advisors entering into a joint venture acquire One, Two and Four Gateway Center is forthcoming. Prudential Financial will be a co-investment partner, according to ROI-NJ.

The prominent office complex -- there are four buildings total -- were built in the 1970s and 1980s. The new owners plan to re-invent the skyway that links the office buildings to Newark Penn Station in the hopes of creating more lively retail space.
