NUTLEY, NJ - 19 years ago, three Nutley residents, Lt. Robert Cirri, Frank LaLama, and Dorota Kopiscko, lost their lives during the terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11.
This year, on Fri. Sept. 11 at 10 a.m., the Township of Nutley will hold a remembrance ceremony at the 9/11 monument site on the township hall.
Residents are invited to join Township officials, victim’s families, friends and clergy in remembering those who perished that day.
That evening, residents are asked to place a lit candle on their front porch, or place an electric candle in their window between the hours of 8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Nutley has held a memorial service on the morning of September 11 every year since September 11, 2002.
