NUTLEY, NJ - Acting out of caution, Nutley Commissioner Mauro Tucci has canceled all Nutley Parks and Recreation sports and activites for this upcoming weekend. All event scheduled for Oct. 4, 5, and 6 are canceled.

The cancelation is in response to a confirmed case of measles at Nutley's Washington Elementary School.

According to Tucci, "the Nutley Health Department has declared at this time there is no immediate health crisis but in light of the concerns of our community I feel it will only benefit our residents if we take logical measures against the spread of the virus. There is no reason to put any community members at unnecessary risk."
