PARAMUS, NJ -- Borough police arrested two New York men and charged them with unlawful possession of weapons, possession of CDS with intent to distribute, money laundering and hindering apprehension.
On Wednesday, October 9 after 2 a.m., police observed a late-model sedan driving improperly over the lanes of traffic on Route 4 East. Cops ran a computer check of the vehicle’s license plate, which detected that the plates were not registered to that particular vehicle. After back-up was summoned, the officers found that the two occupants -- Jesus Rosado-Santiago, 42, of Ozone Park, N.Y. and Julian Lopzen, 31, of Bronx, N.Y. -- had suspended driver’s licenses.
A check of the vehicle yielded two hand guns -- a Glock 22 and a Ruger 9 millimeter -- both of which were loaded. Police also uncovered 100 bundles of heroin, crack cocaine, several bags of fentanyl, assorted pills, and more than $15,000 in cash.
The men were remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a bail hearing.
