PARAMUS, N.J. -- A Volkswagen sedan traveling westbound on Route 4 in Paramus flipped over and landed upside down in front of the Houlihan's Restaurant after 2 p.m. today, causing gridlock.

Occupants reportedly extricated themselves before emergency responders -- which included the Paramus EMS and members of the Fire and Police Departments -- arrived on scene. The car was righted and removed by a flatbed tow truck. Check back for more on this developing story.
