PARAMUS, N.J. -- A 34-year-old North Arlington man was arrested in Paramus today and faces charges for possession and distribution of child pornography.
Members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit earlier today executed a search warrant at the home of Johnathan R. Mancinelli, a married man who works as a sales associate, during the duration of an internet child pornography investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office with assistance from the North Arlington Police Department.
The investigation ascertained that Mancinelli used the internet to view, download, and possess digital files depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent children -- 2,350 files of which he allegedly shared online.
Mancinelli was charged with one count of distribution of child pornography in an amount greater than 1,000 files, a first-degree crime, and possession of child pornography, a third-degree crime. Mancinelli was remanded to Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
