An Evening with the Angels, May 31

PARKLAND, FL - Parkland residents Jon Faber and Stephen Feuerman are organizing An Evening with the Angels, on May 31, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Parkland Amphitheater to raise money and thank the Guardian Angels and to also raise awareness about PTSD, as well as to have a meet and greet for Parkland residents.  Dr. Scott Poland, psychology professor at Nova Southeastern University will deliver the keynote address.

The Guardian Angels have been volunteering their time to stand watch at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School at drop off and pick up since the tragedy.  Faber and others have helped to organize meal trains for the Angels, provide them with a tent, and other necessities.  The Angels are a non-profit and all-volunteer.

Faber said, "It's about getting the community together.  It's not political.  It's not divisive.  It's loving.  We want to honor the Guardian Angels and make sure we can heal and get better.  We have no other agenda."

Cobra of the Guardian Angels said, "We the Guardian Angels want to thank all of Parkland/Coral Springs for all the support and love that have been given and shown to the Guardian Angels from Day 1. Everything these communities have done is very much  appreciated...from the bottom of our hearts."

To raise awareness about PTSD, Faber, Feuerman and others will wear teal ribbons and there will also be a speaker to discuss PTSD and how the community can heal.

Donations are recommended.  All proceeds will be donated to the Guardian Angels.
