BROWARD COUNTY, FL - Nancy J. Cotterman Center (NJCC), Broward’s only certified 24/7 rape crisis and accredited children's advocacy center, is stepping-up its "We Believe You!" outreach campaign to emphasize the Center's longstanding approach of unconditionally believing and supporting victims of sexual assault and child abuse. The launch coincides with the national observance of April as Sexual Assault Awareness and Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Starting in April, a series of ads representing the faces of those who have been victimized by sexual assault and abuse will once again be seen on Broward County Transit buses traveling throughout South Florida along with the supportive and encouraging statement "We Believe You!"

“Our approach is to reassure the sexual assault victim that it is never their fault, we understand and support them, and they don’t have to suffer in silence” said Miriam Firpo-Jimenez, Director of the Nancy J. Cotterman Center.
