PARKLAND, FL – Parkland Mayor Christine Hunschofsky will be representing State House District 96, which runs through Coral Springs and Parkland, she announced Monday.

“It's official! Earlier today I received word from the Division of Elections that the write-in candidate in our race has withdrawn. Although my name will appear on ballots that voters will begin to receive at the end of this week, the election is officially over,” Hunschofsky said on social media.

Hunschofsky soundly beat Saima Farooqui in the Democratic primary. Her only opponent in the November 3 election was independent write-in candidate Muhammad Amin.
