PARKLAND, FL- Life is getting closer to normal for the State of Florida and Parkland residents. Governor Ron DeSantis announced on Friday that Florida will be moving to Phase 3 of reopening. Broward and Miami-Dade Counties plan to slowly ease restrictions.

Broward County Mayor Dale Holness also made an announcement on Friday about the specific updates for Broward County and how our local county relates to the Phase 3 reopening.

Currently in Broward County, the reopening includes:

  • Groups of 10 people may gather in parks
  • Banquet halls may host up to 100 people
  • Public pool and activity spaces are allowed to be relaxed
  • Youth sports may proceed on their current schedule

These updates are in addition to bars, entertainment centers, and breweries being open at 50% capacity as of last Friday.
