CORAL SPRINGS, FLA - A well-known Guardian Angel that has spent the last 8 months protecting Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students is currently under police investigation.

Fredrick “Romero” Davis had his “Level 2” security clearance revoked by the Broward County School District within the past two weeks and was issued a trespass warning as well, according to the Broward County School District and Coral Springs Police Department.

A source told TAPinto Parkland that the investigation involves Davis’ relationship with teenagers who he trains at a local gym owned by Davis. The source said police were contacted this weekend after they found out that Davis was sending inappropriate text messages to their teenage son who trained with Davis at Real World Gym.

Due to the active investigation, the Coral Springs Police Department could not provide additional details.

The Broward County School District did not provide additional details regarding Davis’ Level 2 clearance or the trespass warning.

Davis did not respond to an email requesting comment for this story.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Davis said the reason for his absence from Broward County Schools was “due to my busy work schedule that has gotten me busyer (stet).”

According to the Coral Springs Police Department, this is not the first time that Davis has been investigated for his relationship with local teenagers.

Davis was named in a 2009 investigation regarding inappropriate sexual behavior with a minor.

According to the 2009 police report issued by the Coral Springs Police Department, the 17-year-old victim said Davis showed him pornography in a theater room at his Coral Springs house. Later that day, Davis showed the victim two homemade sex videos on his cell phone. Davis was also accused of “slapping/tapping” the victim’s genital area.

Local detectives presented the case to the State Attorney’s Office, which ultimately declined to prosecute, the Coral Springs Police Department said on Wednesday.

Davis rose to local prominence after the February 14 tragedy at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.  He and fellow Guardian Angels have stood outside the school to protect students and provide a safe environment. They later extended their efforts to other neighboring schools and beyond.
