PARKLAND, FL- Coral Springs hit a milestone this weekend as they surpassed 5,000 total cases. The percent of positive results ranged from 6.65% to 10.03% over the past 2 weeks and was 7.01% on Sunday, November 22, 2020. This percentage calculated is for people that test positive for the first time and does not include people that had previously tested positive.

Here are the current numbers according to the Florida Department of Health as of Monday, November 23, 2020:

Florida: 944,745 total confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 12,918 in the past 2 days.

Broward County: 101,747 total confirmed cases, an increase of 1,459 in the past 2 days.

Parkland: 817 total confirmed cases, an increase of 12 in the past 2 days.

Coral Springs: 5,012 total confirmed cases, an increase of 325 in the past 2 days.

Deaths in Florida related to COVID-19: 18,085 an increase of 155 in the past 2 days.

Broward County: 6,602 (6.5%) total hospitalizations with 1,629 (1.6%) deaths due to COVID-19. Deaths increased by 11 in the past 2 days. The median age is 39.

Broward County Percent Positive: 6.4% per the latest data on November 22, 2020.

Broward County Hospital Bed Availability: Hospitals have 1247 (23.1%) beds available and 99 (21.2%) adult ICU beds available per the latest data on November 23, 2020.

  • Heron Heights Elementary: 2 cases
  • Marjory Stoneman Douglas: 1 case 
  • Park Trails Elementary: 4 cases
  • Riverglades Elementary: 2 cases
  • Somerset Parkland Academy: 3 cases
  • Westglades Middle School: 3 cases
