PARKLAND, FL- The Stoneman Douglas Boys Basketball Team's season came to a close on Tuesday evening in the District Playoffs at Monarch High School in Coconut Creek, FL. One night after an impressive performance over Coral Glades High School, the Eagles fell to Taravella by a score of 78-61 in the District Semifinals. Had MSD won the game, they would have been guaranteed two more games, as both District Finalists advance to Regionals. Last year, Douglas advanced to Regionals before being eliminated by Cypress Bay of Weston, FL. Coach Teddy Lyons's team finishes the 2019-2020 season with a 7-14 overall record.

Taravella will face Deerfield Beach in the District Finals. Deerfield eliminated Coral Springs High School 69-66 in the other District Semifinal on Tuesday night.
