PARKLAND, FL- In the aftermath of yet another tragic shooting in America, many people are left shaken to the core. While the world watches and mourns, it can also be a helpless feeling for many that would like to help in some way. Even a simple card or message can often mean the world to people. This idea is what elementary school teachers in El Paso are hoping for in an effort to care for their children affected by the shooting. The teachers want to calm their fears and show the students how many people love and support their community. They are asking for postcards to be sent to the school with encouraging messages for the children.
The Parkland community can relate to these students as well as anyone. Sending a postcard is a simple yet profiund way to show El Paso that we are here for them.
Send postcards to:
4500 Clifton Ave.
El Paso, TX 79903
Tom Lea Elementary
4851 Marcus Uriibe Dr.
El Paso, TX 79934
The idea is simple, and the postcards can be whatever the writer wishes to create. The only common theme requested is showing love and support for the El Paso community.
